Denise Richards went brunette on daughters' request, inspired by throwback photos

The actress was inspired by old photos from her early career and made the transformation on a whim.

Denise Richards, 53, has revealed her recent hair transformation was a spur-of-the-moment decision inspired by her daughters, Lola (18) and Sami (20). They encouraged her to return to her darker hair after seeing old photos from her early acting days, including the film 'Wild Things'.

“I went darker as a result of truly, my older daughters had been those that inspired me to as a result of they noticed photos of me once I first began performing and (once I was) a bit youthful, and so they’re like, ‘Mother, we predict it’s best to go darker once more.’ (I did it) on a whim,” Richards told People.

The actress, who shares her daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen (68), also discussed her family's Easter traditions. They enjoy cooking together and hosting an Easter egg hunt for Denise's youngest daughter, Eloise (12).

Denise Richards is preparing a tell-all memoir about her life. The book promises to delve into her experiences as a single mother navigating Hollywood's complexities, along with the highs and lows of her career.

“I wanted to write a heartfelt, honest book that would be a source of hope for others going through difficult times," she says.

Richards emphasised that Sheen, despite their rough split up, is always welcome to join their celebrations: “The extra the merrier at our home. We simply cook dinner a variety of meals, and family and friends come, so it’s at all times enjoyable.”

The former couple, who divorced in 2006, have recently reconciled after a tumultuous past. Sheen told People, “We’re completely pleasant. We went by means of a lot collectively that I don’t assume both of us has any power left to be divisive.” He added that their primary focus is on their daughters: “The one factor that issues is the children. We knew we needed to park our nonsense and give attention to the youngsters, as a result of they’d nothing to do with any of our crud.”
