Deadly Plunge: Three killed, 18 injured in road tragedy

Those killed were identified as driver Karamat Ullah Khan, Maria Bibi wife of Dr Fazal Mehmood and Taj Abdullah.

ABBOTABAD: Three members of a family were killed and 18 injured, when their Toyota Hiace plunged into a ravine in the jurisdiction of Bagnotar police station on Nathiagali Road on Monday afternoon.

Police has informed that the family had gone to Nathiagali from Mardan and were on their way back via Abbottabad, when their van fell into a gorge while negotiating a blind turn known as Batangi Mor, killing three passenger including a woman on the spot while.

Local rescue workers recovered the bodies and the shifted the injured to Ayub Medical Complex where the condition of eight passengers was reported to be critical.

Those killed were identified as driver Karamat Ullah Khan, Maria Bibi wife of Dr Fazal Mehmood and Taj Abdullah.
