Six killed, 29 injured in road accident near Bukharian

Bus completely smashed after collision, had to be cut through to retrieve the injured.

At least six people, including a minor, were killed and 29 were injured in a road accident early Monday on Jhang Road near Bukharian.


According to reports, an Islamabad-bound bus on its way from Multan, rammed into a parked truck near Bukharian on Chiniot-Jhang Road, resulting in the instant death of six passengers.

The bus was completely smashed as a result of the collision and had to be cut through to retrieve the injured, as well as the bodies.

Edhi service and locals shifted the injured to the hospitals. Passengers and family members of the victims protested the unavailability of ambulance services of the Chiniot Civil Hospital.

DSP Chiniot City Haji Muhammad Javed and EDO Health Dr Aslam Randhawa told the media that all those injured are recovering after being provided with medical assistance.

They further said that a woman, Nasser, her son, Shoaib and two others were seriously injured and have been shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad.

Those killed have been identified as Zohaib, 10, his father Mulazam Hussain, Abdur Rahim, Muhammad Alam and Akram. One of the deceased is yet to be identified.
