Country singer Sara Evans announces reconciliation with husband Jay Barker after 2021 split

Sara Evans also opened up about Jay Barker's arrest for allegedly trying to hit her car with his own.

Country singer Sara Evans has announced that she has reunited with her husband Jay Barker, following the couple's 2021 seperation.

In her new podcast, Evans emphasided her decision isn't meant to encourage staying in abusive relationships, but rather to share her personal journey.

 

Evans and Barker, married in 2008, separated in 2021 following which the country singer filed for divorce.

During he podcast Evans also recalled the incident from January 2022 when Jay Barker was arrested for allegedly trying to hit the country singer's car with his own. She explained that the episode had further strained their relationship and impacted their children.

However, despite initial fear and anger, Evans reveals they reconnected months later and are giving their marriage another chance.

She added that therapy and counseling are now a key part of their reconciliation.
