PM sends thank-you notes to world leaders

Assures Pakistan’s unwavering commitment and support for the just struggle of the Palestinian people

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to presidents and leaders of different countries for sending him messages of congratulations upon assuming the office of prime minister in a series of posts on X.

Shehbaz thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for his message of congratulations on his election as prime minister. "I look forward to forging stronger ties between Pakistan and Russia in the days ahead," he said.

The PM expressed his delight in receiving a congratulatory letter and telephone call from his dear brother, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. "I thank him for always being a sincere friend of Pakistan and look forward to building stronger ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan together."

He also thanked Azeri President Ilham Aliyev for his warm message of congratulations on his election as prime minister. Shehbaz expressed his gratitude to Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his thoughtful letter congratulating him on assuming the office of prime minister for the second time.

He thanked Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his message of prayers and good wishes on his election as the PM.

The PM also expressed his delight at receiving warm letters of congratulations from Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

He also thanked Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov for his congratulatory letter as well as Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas for his kind letter of greetings.

"I assure him of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment and support for the just struggle of the Palestinian people. May the holy month of Ramadan bring peace and an end to violence and suffering in Gaza."
