As Balochistan braces for the Western system on March 9, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has ruled out the likelihood of unusual weather and heavy rainfall in the metropolitan city.
While speaking exclusively to The Express Tribune, Sarfaraz said that the weather is expected to be partly cloudy on Saturday, with potential showers and drizzle expected between Sunday and Monday night.
The western system will progress towards upper Sindh from Balochistan, with light rain forecasted in some districts of rural Sindh, including Dadu and Nawabshah.
On Thursday, the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 16 degrees Celsius, marking a 1.5-degree increase compared to the previous day. As per the Early Warning Centre (EWC), winds are anticipated to blow from the north-east direction of Balochistan and the south-west direction of the sea in Karachi over the next three days.
