KARACHI:

Rain in Karachi sent the foodies rushing to food streets as they flocked to the city's famed food streets to indulge in steaming hot samosas, pakoras, and jalebis.

Despite the downpour, people were spotted relishing fried delights with friends and family at roadside tables in popular foodie hangouts such as Burns Road, Hussainabad, and other areas across the city.

Numerous citizens were observed queuing up outside shops, eagerly awaiting their turn to purchase samosas, pakoras, bun kebabs, and jalebis. Shopkeepers reported a surge in both crowds and sales, attributing the spike to the rainy weather.

n DHA Phase II extension, despite the lashing rain, men braved the elements to procure samosas for home consumption. "What is rain without samosas, pakoras, and jalebis?" remarked Muhammad Humza, standing patiently in a queue to purchase kachories.

Meanwhile, on the home front, women busied themselves preparing pakoras to accompany tea. Nighat Fatima, a housewife, recounted, "With the forecast predicting rain, I insisted that nobody leave the house."

Residents of Defence Garden Apartments echoed similar sentiments, with one sharing, "My neighbours and I have been sharing snacks since morning."
