Cops suspended after accused escapes custody

Law enforcement officials swiftly responded to the scene and launched an investigation

An accused individual managed to escape from the custody of Mansoorabad police while being presented at the sessions court.

Following the escape, three policemen have been arrested and an investigation is underway.

Chief Police Officer (CPO) Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia issued the suspension orders of the police officers and ordered a probe.

ASI Nasir of Mansoorabad police station, accompanied by Constable Muhammad Salim and Javed Iqbal, escorted the accused, identified as Ahsan, son of Abdul Aziz, to the session court for legal proceedings. However, due to alleged negligence on the part of the police, the accused managed to flee from custody.

Upon learning of the incident, law enforcement officials swiftly responded to the scene and launched an investigation.

CPO Muhammad Ali Zia took immediate action, suspending the three implicated employees and initiating both criminal and departmental proceedings against them.

In response to the escape, teams led by SP Madina Town have been mobilized to track down the fugitive.
