The freedom movement in Kashmir did not begin on Aug. 05 and neo-colonial administrators are never welcome to Kashmir, Kashmiri leader Fahim Kayani reminded Narendra Modi of India who visited occupied Kashmiri territory on Tuesday.
“Kashmiris are fighting illegal Indian occupation since 1947,” Kayani said, rejecting any notion that Kashmir issue was resolved in 2019 when India violated international law by making constitutional changes in UN-designated disputed territory.
Kayani, president of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK, said Modi was “butcher of Gujarat” and cannot make statements about Kashmir which is a stink on the face of India for illegally occupying the “paradise on earth.”
“It is ironic that India boasts of one of the largest militaries in the world but uses its marauding soldiers to occupy Kashmir, jail, maim and kill innocent unarmed Kashmiris,” Kayani said, recalling sacrifices made by over one hundred thousand Kashmiris since 1990s in resisting illegal Indian rule over Kashmir.

Indian government heads, Kayani noted, “have always been seen as chief implementation officers of India’s colonial regime in Kashmir.”
“Kashmir is graveyard of any Indian claim including it being a democracy,” said the UK-based Kashmiri independence activist.
“It is no bravery to turn Kashmir into a graveyard, jail Kashmiri resistance leadership, forcibly create a sense of calm and then fly into Kashmir under heavy military presence,” Kayani said, referring to tense security situation when Modi reached Jammu province of the occupied territory.
“Kashmiris are democratic in their resistance against India but our enemy, which is run by a fascist regime, is ugly, has no sense of civility and thus runs amok in Kashmir by bulldozing peoples resistance,” Kayani said, condemning India’s settler colonial projects in Kashmir.
The Kashmiri activist said Kashmiris “may be down but we were not, we are not and we will not be out of race for freedom for our beloved homeland.”
“Our struggle for a free and fair plebiscite is genuine, truthful and soaked with blood of innocent Kashmiris and we will never let it down, in-sha Allah,” said Kayani.
Kayani said Kashmiris had always rejected visit by Indian politicians as well as its colonial regime.
“Indian colonial regime administrators are never welcome to Kashmir until we get our right to self-determination,” said Kayani. “Only hurdle in realizing UN-granted plebiscite to Kashmir is India and its colonial administrators and Kashmiris reject them.”
