Fake news: YouTuber Ducky Bhai refutes rumours of him joining political party
In a recent turn of events, YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, addressed the rumours circulating about his alleged entry into politics. He took to Instagram to share a video, setting the record straight on the misleading claims that have triggered a wave of misinformation.
In the Instagram video, Ducky Bhai vehemently debunked the rumours and expressed his frustration over the spread of fake news. He began by acknowledging the viral nature of the misinformation, acknowledging the thousands of likes and shares the post garnered within a short span.
Addressing the potential consequences of such misleading information, Ducky Bhai revealed the distressing reality of receiving death threats for himself and his family. Clearly dismayed, he stressed that the purpose of his video was solely to clarify his position. He stated, "A fake news has been circulating recently that I've joined politics. Okay, you spread that news and got your 20,000 likes within the hour on Instagram and 6,000 on Twitter. You had your enjoyment and fun. But do you know what kinds of death threats my family and I receiving because of this fake news?"
Ducky Bhai emphasised that he has been a YouTuber for the past seven years and continues to be dedicated to his craft. He firmly stated that he has never shown any interest in politics throughout his career, neither discussing nor indicating any inclination towards it with his audience.
The YouTube sensation pointed out the misinterpretation of a screenshot taken out of context from a video. He expressed frustration at the irresponsible spread of such news by prominent magazines and Twitter accounts. Ducky Bhai clarified that he occasionally meets politicians due to respectful invitations, but it does not translate into a political career.
"The purpose of this video is just to clarify that for the last seven years, I've been a YouTuber, and I still am," remarked Ducky Bhai. He continued, "And, perhaps, for the next 10-15 years, I'll continue to be a YouTuber. I've never shown interest in politics during my career to my audience, nor have I mentioned politics to that extent. I meet a lot of politicians because they call us respectfully and we go respectfully. Taking an out-of-context screenshot from a video, huge magazines and Twitter accounts have spread the news that I've joined politics."
In a plea to his followers, Ducky Bhai urged them to debunk the false news if they come across such posts. "The purpose of this video is to highlight that this is fake news. And if you come across such posts, kindly comment under it saying it's fake news. Because if my video doesn't reach them, maybe your comment will," he requested.
Recent speculations arose from a screenshot circulating on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting that Ducky Bhai might have ventured into the political arena. This sparked curiosity and discussions among fans and followers, prompting the social media sensation to respond to the claims in a detailed video.
