Majority of incidents, 71 percent, involved motorbikes

At least eight people were killed and 1,054 were injured in 1,028 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) reported across Punjab during the past 24 hours.

Of the injured, 430 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 624 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams.

The majority of incidents, 71 percent, involved motorbikes. Further analysis showed those 557 drivers, 37 underage drivers, 142 pedestrians and 363 passengers were among the victims of RTCs.
