Woman, toddler among three die in road mishaps

Three people including a toddler and a woman were killed while two sustained injuries in separate road accidents in the city.

According to details, a woman lost her life when a speeding car hit her while she was crossing the road near Jamali Bridge, Superhighway.

Edhi rescue workers shifted the body of the unidentified woman to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Police said that nothing was recovered from the body to confirm the identity of the deceased woman. The driver of the car managed to escape from the scene.

In a separate mishap, a young motorcyclist lost his life while his pillion rider sustained injuries as their bike was also hit by a speeding car near Ayesha Mosque in Defence Housing Authority.

The body of the deceased Hamad, 24, and the injured Rashidullah, 27, were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

The dead and injured were the residents of Orangi Town. Police arrested the two boys sitting in the car and confiscated their car.

Separately, a toddler girl, two-year-old Harmain Yaseen died in a road accident in Baldia Town.
