Three killed, two injured in road accidents

Deceased patients were shifted to nearby hospitals

KARACHI:

Three persons lost their lives  while two sustained injuries  in  separate  road accidents   reported  in  different  parts   of the city.  Reportedly,  a  young  mo- torcyclist died while his pillion  rider  suffered  injuries   when  a  speeding  car  their   bike at the Banaras Bridge,  within the limits of Shahrae  Noorjahan police station.

The  body  of  the  young   motorcyclist, 16-year- old  Salman,  was  shifted   to a nearby hospital.  The  driver  of  the  speeding   car,  responsible  for  the accident, managed to escape  from the scene.  Police  handed  over the  body of deceased to the family  after  the  legal  proceedings.

The deceased and the  injured were the residents of  Orangi Town.  In another incident,  35-year-old M. Sajjad  Shamshad died after his car  overturned due to high speed  in Korangi area. The police  reached the spot and shifted  the body of the deceased to  Jinnah Hospital.  Following the accident, the  traffic flow was affected for  some time.

Meanwhile, a young man  lost  his  life  in  road  crash   within the limits of Jackson  police station. The  body of  the deceased  and the injured were shifted  to  the  hospital,  where  the  deceased  was  identified  as  18-year-old Arsalan and the  injured as 23-year-old Faizan.

On  the  other  hand,  two   high-speed vehicles col- lided on Sharea Faisal near Kashif Centre in Saddar  area.  Fortunatlly  no  casualties  were  reported  in  the accident.  Police said that, four  to  five  vehicles  were  partially damaged as a result of the accident. The body of  a 35-year-old  unknown person was found  near Keamari Masan Chowk  railway gate in Jackson police station limits, who was shifted to the hospital.
