101 polling stations declared highly sensitive
As the upcoming elections draw near, comprehensive preparations are underway in DG Khan, with 101 out of 1,067 polling stations identified as 'very sensitive' in the district.
The details were shared during a meeting chaired by Commissioner Dr Nauser Mahmood, where arrangements concerning transportation, security, and other election-related tasks were finalised.
The meeting, attended by RPO Sajjad Hussain, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Zaman, DPO Ahmad Mohayyidin, District Election Commissioner Imtiaz Ahmad, and relevant staff, focused on ensuring a smooth and secure electoral process.
Commissioner Dr Nauser Mahmood emphasised the collective responsibility of everyone on election duty to guarantee the conduct of free and fair polls under their supervision.
To enhance security measures, a quick response force of police and other security agencies has been mobilised, and CCTV cameras are being installed at sensitive locations.

RPO Sajjad Hussain hinted at the possibility of conducting a flag operation before the commencement of the election.
In a separate meeting chaired by Assistant Commissioner and Secretary District and Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Usman Ghazi, transporters were urged to cooperate with the district administration to facilitate transportation during the elections.
Emphasising the national significance of elections, Usman Ghazi called on wagon and bus stand owners, as well as transporters, to ensure the availability of their vehicles and collaborate with the district administration.
He assured that every effort would be made to implement a transportation plan and ensure timely payments to transporters.
Strict action was warned against those failing to meet vehicle quotas for transportation.
Usman Ghazi also pledged to prioritize the resolution of transporter issues and urged them to provide detailed reports on available vehicles.
The comprehensive preparations and coordination reflect the commitment of DG Khan authorities to conduct secure and efficient elections in the region.
