Domki vows to provide security to voters, candidates

The Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, arrived in Turbat to personally oversee the planning for the upcoming electoral process in the province like in other parts of the country. Chairing a high-level meeting about the elections, Domki vowed to provide security to voters and candidates.

CM’s visit came two days after candidates of National Party, a Baloch nationalist party, including Lala Rasheed Dasthi and Senator Akram Baloch narrowly escaped an armed attack in the district Kech. Mekran division is considered to be the sensitive zone with regard to the elections and the government has taken a number of initiatives to ensure peaceful elections.

Commissioner Makran Division, Saeed Ahmed Imrani, warmly welcomed Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki upon his arrival in Turbat. The subsequent high-profile meeting, convened in the commissioner’s office, united key officials from district Kech, district Panjgur, and Gwadar, along with representatives from the police, intelligence agencies, and the military.
