Without NOC, approval from RDA, launching a housing scheme is illegal, says Directorate

The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has lodged First Information Reports (FIRs) against the owners of four illegal housing schemes, a spokesperson for the authority said on Tuesday.

The spokesperson said FIRs were lodged against four owners of illegal housing schemes named Arshad Mehmood Rahi, Nabeel Shahzad, Azhar Ali Khan, Saeed Rizwi, Muhammad Arshad Safi and Haq Nawaz in Chakri police station, Rawalpindi.

“These housing schemes include Rahber Joshua Block in Mouza Malukal, Shah-e-Kharasan Valley in Mouza Chak Nawan, New Iqra City/Iqra Residencia in Mouza Gahi Syedan Jorian and Moon Galaxy Housing Project in Mouza Koliyan Hameed near Kingdom Valley in Chakri, Rawalpindi,” he said.

The spokesperson explained that the MP&TE Directorate was taking legal action against the illegal advertisements and marketing of illegal housing schemes. He said before lodging FIRs, the authority had issued notices to these illegal housing schemes.

Without NOC and approval from RDA, launching a housing scheme, apartment project, commercial building, and other constructions within the area controlled by RDA is illegal, he said.
