Jobless man ends life after killing wife, three kids

KARACHI:

A man killed his wife and three children and then committed suicide in his fourth floor flat in Falaknaz Apartments within the limits of Airport Police station on Monday.

According to the details, Ahsan Raza shot dead his wife Nida and three children and then turned the gun to himself

Ahsan Raza also left a note stating, "Allah Hafiz, on behalf of me, my wife and children, some money has to be given and some money has to be taken. "I stole a pistol from Sami's shop with which I killed my family. My wife Nida and the children were sleeping, they didn't know, thank you and love you all."

He also wrote in the note, "I Ahsan Raza Rizvi is committing suicide. "I am killing my wife and children, there is a file in my laptop which should be read, in the letter the deceased said good bye to the relatives and it was said that my wife and children are martyrs who do not know about the murder."

When Ahsan Raza's mother reached his flat to give breakfast in the morning, the door was locked. When the neighbours entered the flat by breaking the door, Nida and three children were lying dead, while Ahsan Raza's body was found in another room of the flat.

Residents of the apartments informed the police about the incident. SHO Airport Irfan Asif reached the spot and started investigation. SHO said that Ahsan Raza killed his three children and his wife while they were sleeping. Deceased Ahsan Raza's wife has been identified as Nida Rizvi and three children have been identified as Jibraeel, Mikhael and Umme Hani. Children and wife have been killed when they were asleep. A pistol has also been recovered from the crime scene.

Regarding Ahsan Raza, SHO Irfan Asif said that the deceased was in garments business. He ended the business due to losses and was unemployed for the past several months. Crime Scene Unit is collecting evidence from the scene in the light of which the facts will come to the fore. Police have also recorded the statements of neighbours and relatives.

SSP Malir Tariq Mastoi also visted the crime scene. He said that pistol and empty shells of bullets were found from the flat. Pistol has been stolen from the shop of Ahsan's friend Sami, which is being checked and the statements of the persons whose names are written in the letter are also being recorded. Initially, the incident appears to be a reason of unemployment followed by financial crisis leading to debt dispute. After the complete investigation, all the facts will come to the fore.
