Former One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik narrowly escaped a potential mishap at Paris Fashion Week, where he attended Kenzo’s Fall/Winter 2024-2025 menswear show, according to People. A video circulating on social media captured the artist maneuvering through a crowd, appearing to have a close call with a passing car.
In the clip, concerned voices urged caution as Zayn appeared to have his foot run over by a passing car. Despite the encounter, the Love Like This singer continued his stride seemingly unaffected. The incident, which occurred on Friday, sparked a wave of online chatter with fans expressing concern.
Taking to Instagram, Zayn reassured fans with a carousel post, sharing pictures from the day, marking his first appearance at a public event in five years. “Thanks for a great show!” he wrote in the caption, tagging Kenzo and its artistic director, Nigo. "My foot is fine! Thanks to my incredibly well-made shoes," he added, accompanied by tears of joy emoji and a thumbs-up.
Aside from a selfie, presumably from before leaving for the event, the post included a glimpse from the Kenzo show and a closeup of his right foot, revealing slight damage to his white Kenzo sneaker. The shoe displays slight damage as well as dark skid marks from the car. However, as per Zayn's lighthearted post, the footwear successfully shielded him from harm.
Despite the worrying incident, Zayn’s appearance at Kenzo’s show delighted fans with some heartfelt encounters. Underscoring his appreciation for fans, the singer took to Insta Story with a cropped snapshot of a fan letter.
“Just want to make something clear: it doesn’t matter how many times I read letters like this from you, they make me cry,” Zayn penned in the overlaying text. “I love you and thank you deeply for all your support and love.”
