Delivery of polling material continues

Poll body says process to be completed by today evening

The delivery process of essential election materials, including stationery items, polling boxes, and polling booths for the upcoming elections on seven national and 14 provincial seats in Rawalpindi district, is currently underway.

The delivery is scheduled to be concluded by the evening of Sunday, January 21.

In the initial phase, all necessary items were delivered to the returning officers overseeing five National Assembly constituencies including NA 51 Murree, NA 52 Gujar Khan, NA 53 Chakri, NA 54 Taxila, and NA 56 Rawalpindi City and 10 Provincial Assembly constituencies. This process was completed by Saturday evening. Subsequently, the distribution of polling boxes and stationery to the returning officers of the remaining four provincial seats, NA-55 Cantt, and NA-57 Rawalpindi City, will take place on Sunday.

The Rawalpindi District Election Commission has designated a spacious godown in Dhok Gangal as the election cell office godown. This facility has been entrusted to store all relevant polling stationery and polling boxes since three days ago. The delivery operations are being conducted under the supervision of District Returning Officer Hassan Waqar Cheema and Focal Person District Officer Civil Defence Talib Hussain of District Rawalpindi, along with police security.
