Honour killings: Husband and father kill 2 women

SUKKUR: Hakim Mazari suspected that his wife Lal Khatoon was involved with Barfi Mazari and so on Monday morning he killed her while she was asleep. The husband then ran over to Barfi’s house and killed him as soon as he opened the door. Barfi Mazari’s body was taken to the taluka hospital but Lal Khatoon’s body is missing. Both incidents took place within the limits of the Kashmore police station. The second karo kari killing took place in Yakoob Soomro village within the limits of the Guddu police station. Ashiq Soomro returned home from shopping and saw his daughter Shahnaz,18, standing at the door talking to Mohammad Hanif Mirani. Witnesses claim that in a fit of rage, the father shot Mirani dead and injured his daughter. The body was taken to the hospital and Shahnaz was taken to Rahim Yar Khan hospital.
