PTI founder Imran Khan has claimed that the apex court of the country is also operating according to the so-called London Plan—an alleged conspiracy to sideline his party and to end the cases lodged against his archrival, PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif.

“According to the London Plan, I am supposed to be in jail, the PTI is supposed to meet its end, and all cases against Nawaz Sharif are to be pardoned. Everything is being done to convey that they are above the law," the former prime minister said on Monday.

Imran had an informal interaction with reporters before the Toshakhana case proceedings inside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
The PTI chief referred to the Supreme Court’s Saturday order that resulted in depriving the party of its iconic election symbol. He said a five-member bench should have heard the case.

On January 13, a three-member bench led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJ) Qazi Faez Isa upheld the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) order regarding the PTI’s intra-party elections. This decision dealt a heavy blow to the former ruling party.

Imran asked the chief justice to read the eighth verse of the fifth chapter of the Quran.

The verse says: "O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice. Do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is acquainted with what you do."

Imran said that the Supreme Court is operating under the London Plan.

Talking with reference to the Toshakhana case, he said Nawaz Sharif bought a Mercedes car for Rs0.6 million from the Toshakhana while Maryam Nawaz bought a BMW.

“However, all cases registered against the PML-N leaders are closed. However, when we are acquitted in one case, another case is registered without delay,” he said. “I am being punished for exposing [US Senator] Donald Lu and [former army chief] Qamar Javed Bajwa.”

While lamenting that the PTI candidates are not getting a chance to run their election campaign, he said the powers that be are not aware of the public's anger.

“In the era of social media, nothing can be hidden. Today, I am predicting that they are about to face a setback. People's anger will be visible to them on February 8.”

He said the party could not be crushed like this as the public is standing with it. “The turncoats will also face public wrath on February 8," he said in an apparent reference to dozens of party leaders who left the PTI in the wake of a government crackdown.

The PTI founder ruled out the possibility of an alliance with the PPP.

He said: "Nawaz Sharif has never played a match without biased umpires. Nawaz Sharif still has two umpires standing. I will not name them. One of the umpires has given him a favor recently.”
