Fog sets in with shivering cold

Maximum temperature recorded during past 24 hours was 19 degrees Celsius

BAHAWALPUR:

Bahawalpur and adjoining areas faced extremely cold weather as the mercury dropped to five degrees in the early hours of Sunday.

Dense fog and smog had blanketed the entire region since the previous evening and persisted the whole day.

The sun was visible for a short while amidst the fog.

The maximum temperature recorded during the past 24 hours was 19 degrees Celsius.

The local metrological department office forecast fog and partly cloudy weather for the region for the next 24 hours.
