SWABI:

Despite the rejection of nomination papers for two prominent PTI figures, former assembly speaker Asad Qaisar and two-time provincial minister Shahram Khan Tarakai from Swabi, their family members and other senior PTI workers are determined to continue the electoral race.

It is anticipated that Qaisar and Tarakai will challenge the rejection decision on Monday through the election tribunal.

Qaisar had submitted nomination papers for two national assembly constituencies.

Despite this setback, Aqibullah Khan, former MNA and brother of Qaisar, remains a PTI candidate. Additionally, ex-secretary information Swabi, Shah Wali, and former Advocate General Muzamal Khan Advocate are also PTI candidates, and their nomination papers have been accepted.

In NA-50, Aqibullah Khan, Shah Wali, and Jehanzeb Khan are listed as PTI’s covering candidates.

Tarakai has encountered rejection as well. But his brother Faisal Khan Tarakai, Murtaza Khan Tarakai, Ahmad Ali Khan Advocate, district information secretary PTI Afsar Ali Khan, Irfan Sher, and Shahnam are still in the running as covering PTI candidates.
