Sindh Caretaker Minister for Information, Minority Affairs, and Social Protection Muhammad Ahmad Shah has highlighted the provincial government's commitment of prioritising projects focused on the education, training, and welfare of special people including children.
While speaking at a seminar on differently-abled people at the Arts Council of Pakistan, he emphasised that all new constructions are required to include ramps to cater to the needs of individuals with disabilities. The wife of President Arif Alvi also took special part in the seminar.

"I have been involved in programmes for special children for the past 16 years," Shah said. He underscored the importance of incorporating ramps into every new construction for the convenience of special individuals, urging society to remember and appreciate the contributions of these unsung heroes.
Addressing the issue of class sensitivity among differently-abled people, he called for the elimination of the caste system in order to empower the vulnerable. Shah acknowledged the existing disparity, stating that while elite families ensure treatment and education for their special children, the impoverished population lacks such resources. He urged society to work towards bridging this gap. Highlighting the need for a cultural shift, he underlined the importance of familiarising with the culture and values. He criticized the NGOs with English medium mentality.
