Plan afoot to keep Murree roads snow-free
The City Traffic Police (CTP) has completed all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of traffic ahead of the snow season in Murree and surrounding hill stations.
Under the plan, five roads including Bank Road, Hall Road, View Forth Road, Kuldana Road, and Chak Bali Road have been declared as one-way while the famous Mall Road in Murree will remain closed for traffic throughout the snow season.
Similarly, twelve tourist facilitation centres and two control rooms at Sunny Bank Traffic Checkpoint and Jinnah Hall have been established to facilitate tourists.
Notably, 150 traffic police wardens have also been deployed to carry out duties.
The Rawalpindi City Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimoor Khan has said their staff is currently on high alert and will provide the best possible facilities to both local and international tourists.
