The accident involved a private firm-owned coaster, whose driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. Sharafi Goth police station SHO Mehboob Ullah revealed that brake failure is suspected as the cause of the crash. The final determination of the accident’s cause will be made following the examination of the coaster by a motor vehicle inspector. The damaged coaster and motorcycles were moved to the police station for further investigation.

Locals at the scene expressed concerns about removing speed breakers designed for Green Line buses, attributing an increase in daily traffic accident fatalities to this alteration.
