ISLAMABAD:

Shahnawaz Amir, the convict in the Sara Inam murder case, has filed an appeal against the decision of a district and sessions court to award him the death penalty in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The accused pleaded with the IHC to set aside the decision of the trial court and acquit him.

Shahnawaz challenged the decision of the trial court through his advocate Nisar Asghar.

The IHC has been requested to nullify the December 14 decision of the trial court and to acquit the convict from the case.
