Man dies of consuming alcohol, drugs at a shady guest house

Doctors declared Muaz dead on arrival on which his friend fled leaving his body in the hospital

HYDERABAD:

A man died of complications caused by consuming alcohol and aphrodisiac pills at a shady guest house in the jurisdiction of the Hussainabad police station late on Monday night.

The youth, later identified as Muaz Kaimkhani, a resident of Qasimabad, was at the said guest house with his friend and neighbour, Nizam Zahir, police said.

During the night, Muaz fell sick due to heavy consumption of alcohol coupled with swallowing fist full of locally obtained aphrodisiac pills, Nizam told the medics at the Civil Hospital where he had brought his friend around midnight.

However, the doctors declared Muaz dead on arrival (DOA) on which his friend fled leaving his body in the hospital.

Staff of the Civil Hospital told the police that Nizam also looked intoxicated and could not talk clearly due to being under the influence of drugs and liquor.
