The PML-N party has finalized a nine-point agenda that will serve as a reference in their campaign for the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8, 2024, according to a party spokesperson in Lahore.
The agenda includes key points such as reducing government and administrative expenses, boosting the country’s income, enhancing productivity, reforming the tax system, and implementing immediate measures to increase exports.

The party, led by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, recently saw his exoneration in two corruption cases filed against him in 2017, on the Supreme Court’s order. This development has positioned the party as a newfound favorite among the powers that be.
In July 2017, the Supreme Court disqualified Nawaz Sharif for life following petitions filed amid the Panama Papers scandal. However, an amendment to the Election Act, 2017, by the parliament limited the disqualification of a lawmaker to five years. If elected, this would mark Nawaz Sharif's fourth term as the country's prime minister.
