Former members of the Sindh Assembly from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) have voiced serious concerns over the increasing number of dog-bite incidents in the metropolitan city and the unavailability of vaccines in both government and private hospitals.
In a joint statement, the former MPAs highlighted the escalating occurrences of these incidents, particularly in cities like Larkana, emphasising the lack of access to the dog-bite vaccine.
They stated that despite the Pakistan Peoples Party's 15-year rule in Sindh, they have failed to provide the necessary dog-bite vaccine, showcasing clear incompetence on their part.
The former MPAs further criticised the current caretaker government for not taking adequate measures in addressing the issue. They expressed disappointment in the performance of the caretaker provincial health minister.

Demanding urgent action, they urged the caretaker chief minister to safeguard the people of Karachi, the economic hub of Pakistan, from dog-bite incidents. They emphasised that the citizens in Karachi, who contribute significantly through taxes, deserve immediate attention and measures to ensure the availability of vaccines in government hospitals.
