Friends and fellow celebrities continue to mourn the sudden loss of Matthew Perry, the beloved actor known for his role in the iconic '90s sitcom Friends with an outpouring of heartfelt condolences. Among those paying tribute is actor Zac Efron, who took a poignant moment during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony to honour his late friend and co-star from 17 Again, as reported by People.

In his speech, Efron expressed deep gratitude for Perry's kindness and generosity during their collaboration, describing it as immensely enjoyable and a source of inspiration. He credited Perry with propelling him into the next chapter of his career.

As per Perry's friend Athenna Crosby, The West Wing actor expressed interest in a future collaboration with Efron. “He said that he wanted to make a movie about his life, and he had worked with Zac Efron in the past on a movie and he said that he wanted Zac Efron to play him as a younger version,” Crosby disclosed.

Perry’s close friend and co-star from Friends, Jennifer Aniston also opened up about the tragic loss. Talking to Variety, Aniston appeared for her first interview since Perry’s death and and emphasized his positive transformation preceding his demise. The actor shared, “He was happy. He was healthy. He had quit smoking. He was getting in shape. He was happy — that’s all I know.”
 
The Murder Mystery actor shared that she had been texting with Perry on the morning of his passing and wanted people to remember him as a man who lived well and made others laugh. She reassured fans that Perry was not in pain or struggling, and he was on a journey to improve his health. “I was literally texting with him that morning, funny Matty. He was not in pain. He wasn’t struggling. He was happy.”
