Karachi Police Chief Khadim Hussain Rind has started taking action against the black sheep in the police department.

According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, the Karachi police chief by taking strict action against the police officers and officials allegedly involved in supporting criminals and not taking action against the crimes, has dismissed ASI Abdul Rauf, former head Muharar of Darakhshan police station, head constable Mansoor, head constable Zubair Ahmed and constable Kashif. Other five police personnel, including head constable Naeem and four constables Saqib, Mudassar, Gul Abbas and Adil Hussain have also been punished.

The city police chief also issued an order for departmental action against former SHO Darakhshan Ali Raza Laghari, Sub-Inspector Salman Thio and Habib Khan, Constable Aqib Javed, who have been named in the inquiry.

The said police personnel allegedly used to support dance parties after for receiving bribes amounting to millions of rupees.

The city police chief said that while many projects are being implemented for the welfare of the personnel, the strictest actions will also be taken against the police officers who patronise crimes.
