Wife, sister-in-law suspected in murder case

Body found hidden at home of victim

PAKPATTAN:

Police have arrested a woman who had killed her husband with the help of her sister and hidden the body in a room.

According to police officials, investigation had revealed that Mubarak Ali, a 62-year-old retired schoolteacher, had been strangled to death by his wife Naheed and her sister Sidra three months ago.

The deceased was a resident of the Lakkad Mandi area.

The body had been hidden in a room on the second floor of a double-story house.

A student of the victim, Abdul Aziz, had filed a complaint that that he had been missing for three months.

The Qubla police registered a case and interrogated the missing man's wife during interrogation.

After initial statements arousing suspicion of the investigators, Naheed confessed that she had killed her husband Mubarak with the help of her sister Sidra and buried the body in a room.

Police dug the floor of the room and found the remains of the deceased. The police arrested the victim's wife Naheed and sister-in-law Sidra and added legal provisions related to murder to the case of abduction.

DSP Malik Tariq Javed said the police were further investigating the matter.
