Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the JI would cooperate for smooth running of affairs in the city council, if the Pakistan People Party presents budget in the city council and expand finances for union committees.
The JI leader expressed these views while addressing a press conference held at Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI Karachi headquarters, here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that despite illegal and unconstitutional occupation of the mayor office by the PPP, the JI would cooperate for the sake of progress and development of the mega city, if the just conditions put forward by the party are accepted.
Later in the day, the JI leader visited the Arahi plaza which was affected by an inferno. The JI leader called on the affected families. He expressed solidarity with them and assured them of full cooperation.
JI leader demanded the government for compensation for the affected families of Arahi plaza and RJ plaza infernos.
