Pakistan, Indonesia enjoy strong brotherly relations, says envoy

CG highlights mutual support both nations have extended despite challenges

Indonesian Consul General (CG) Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat has said that his country enjoys strong relations with Pakistan since the independence of both the countries.

Speaking at the Sukkur Press Club during a Meet the Press event, he highlighted the mutual support both nations have extended despite facing various challenges.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Dr Hadiningrat commended the historic significance of Sindh and revealed ongoing efforts to boost trade between the two countries.

He specifically mentioned that Indonesian universities will offer as many as 2,000 scholarships to Pakistani students this year.

During the visit to the Sukkur Press Club, Dr. Hadiningrat was presented with traditional Sindhi gifts, including an Ajrak, cap, and a bouquet. He further shared his satisfaction with the organised Sukkur Press Club, expressing interest in developing relations in the media field.

Acknowledging the warmth of the reception, Dr. Hadiningrat thanked the officials and members of the Press Club. He also discussed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Arora University and expressed a desire to promote culture and tourism through collaborative efforts with Pakistan.

At the end of the visit, the CG participated in sports activities and games at the Press Club.
