The revered classical singer Ustad Hussain Bakhsh Gullu was laid to rest in a local graveyard in Lahore on Tuesday, surrounded by hundreds of mourners.
The funeral prayer was held in Iqbal Town Scheme Morr and was attended by numerous citizens, fellow singers, and artists.
Ustad Hussain Bakhsh Gullu, the son of the renowned classical singer Ustad Nathu Khan from the illustrious Patiala family, was proficient in both classical and ghazal singing.
He showcased his exceptional talent on platforms like Radio Pakistan and Television, captivating audiences in various countries worldwide.

The late Ustad Hussain Bakhsh had a significant association with the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts, where he imparted his knowledge to thousands of young enthusiasts.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, the government of Pakistan honoured him with the prestigious Presidential Medal for Pride of Performance on August 14, 2010. To pay homage to Ustad Hussain Bakhsh Gullu’s art and personality, the Lahore Arts Council has announced a condolence session. In mourning his demise, classes at the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts were cancelled.
