“Economic empowerment of women not only benefits them individually but also has a positive impact on societies and economies,” Chakwal Deputy Commissioner Quratulain Malik said on Saturday.
She said this on the occasion of the ‘Women Entrepreneur Gala’ organised by the Punjab Council of the Arts (PAC) in collaboration with the district administration of Chakwal, where more than 150 stalls were set up to enhance the economic empowerment of women.

On the occasion, Chakwal DC Quratulain was invited as the chief guest of the opening ceremony of the event. At the same time, Assistant Commissioner Bilal Zubair and PAC Deputy Director Muhammad Sulaiman were also present.
In her address,the Chakwal DC said workshops, training programmes and networking opportunities would go a long way in equipping women with the necessary skills and knowledge.
