Exhibit marks anniversary of Pak-Uzbek ties
The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) inaugurated an enthralling photo exhibition commemorating the 31st anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Usmanov along with the Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Syed Jamal Shah and PNCA Director General Muhammad Ayoub Jamali. The event, hosted at the PNCA premises, stands as a testament to the enduring cultural connections and shared heritage between these two nations.
Uzbek envoy Oybek Usmanov delivered an eloquent speech during the opening ceremony, expressing gratitude to all attendees and highlighting the historical significance of the diplomatic ties. He acknowledged the pivotal role of the protocol signed in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan, on May 10, 1992, commemorating the establishment of diplomatic relations, showcasing a copy of the historical document at the exhibition.

During his address, the envoy extended heartfelt appreciation to Syed Jamal Shah, for his unwavering support and guidance in organising this remarkable event. He also commended Ayoub Jamali and his team for their indispensable contributions and excellent cooperation in arranging the exhibition.
Moreover, he warmly greeted two distinguished Pakistani ambassadors, Irfan Yusuf Shami and Riaz Ahmad Bukhari while also acknowledging their tireless efforts in promoting bilateral relations. On the other hand, Syed Jamal Shah, in his remarks, emphasised the exhibition's role in portraying the beauty, diversity, and historical resonance embedded within the joint cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
