One killed in Bannu blast

One person died and 21 others, including 13 security personnel sustained injuries in an explosion, targeting a vehicle of the security forces near the Azad Mandi, Mamandkhel, in Bannu, police sources said on Sunday.

It was stated that an explosive device, planted on a rickshaw went off when the vehicle of security forces approached while returning from North Waziristan district. The deceased was identified as Ashraf Ali.

The injured included Shoaib, Lance Naik Qabeel, Lance Naik Nadeem, Lance Naik Naveed, Lance Naik Sohail, Lance Naik Islamuddin, Naik Bakht Amin, Bilal Amin, Lance Naik Abid, Subedar Head Clerk Muhibullah, Naik Shamshad, Sepoy Tariq and Sepoy Yasir.

The police said, the civilians, who were also injured in the blast, included Kashif, Shamirullah, Gul Khanan, Sabir Gul, Zaitullah, Shah Qiyaz, Tifil Kalam and Bakht Noor Jan.
