Woman allegedly hangs herself to death

Police say family doesn’t know why she committed suicide

HARIPUR:

A woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself within the limits of Kot Najibullah police station.

According to sources, the mother of a five-year-old girl, (R), locked herself in a room and hung herself by tying a dupatta around her neck. They said the reason for the suicide could not be immediately ascertained. On the other hand, Tejarat Khan, a resident of Mohalla Pathanwala of Saria village, was shot and killed by unidentified suspects.

After receiving information, the police took the dead bodies into their possession and shifted them to the hospital, where after the post-mortem and other necessary legal procedures, they handed over the dead bodies to the relatives for burial and started further investigations.

One the same day, the Haripur police arrested two alleged thieves and recovered three stolen motorcycles were recovered from their possession.

Sources said that on October 22, a motorcycle was stolen from outside a shop, near Meher General Hospital on Daakhana Road within the limits of the City police station. A case was registered on the complaint of the plaintiff. DPO Haripur Muhammad Umar Khan while taking notice of the incident directed DSP City Muhammad Sajjad and SHO Police Station City Chanzeb Tinoli to trace the accused involved in the incident, arrest them and recover the stolen motorcycle.

SHO Police Station City along with the investigation staff and other police personnel under the supervision of DSP City interrogated several suspects. During interrogation, Aleem Khan admitted to stealing the motorcycle along with his accomplice. His accomplice identified as Hasnain was also arrested.
