Three newborns’ bodies found in a month

No arrests have been made in such cases

In a disturbing turn of events, three bodies of newborns were discovered in various locations of the garrison city within a month.

The most recent discovery was reported near IJP Road at Mandi Mor, where a newborn was found dead.

According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122, area residents alerted authorities upon finding the body of an infant placed by the roadside. Rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the body to the Rawalpindi District Headquarters Hospital for a thorough investigation. Earlier on Friday, the body of a newborn girl was found in bushes in the vicinity of Chungi Number 26 in Rawalpindi.

According to a spokesperson for the police, Rescue 1122 personnel were informed about the presence of a newborn’s body near the GT Road by citizens. The rescue team after arriving at the scene retrieved the infant's body and transferred it to the hospital. Moreover, the police registered a case. He further said the police have also launched an investigation. It is worth noting here that a few days ago, the body of a newborn girl was found in the Saddiqabad area as well.

Despite these mysterious deaths and the rising number of such cases, law enforcement agencies have not been able to make arrests in connection with the cases.
