In a recent meeting, Managing Director of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL), Amer Tufail, provided assurance to the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) of an uninterrupted and high-pressure gas supply during the winter season. Emphasising the importance of uninterrupted production and exports of textile goods, Tufail declared, “the entire export industry availing system, blended with RLNG, would be charged the tariff at the ratio of 50:50 for the month of November.”
To accommodate the concerns of APTMA member mills, Tufail encouraged those without prior gas connections to apply, affirming that the export industry has always been a high priority for gas supply. Regarding the upcoming winter months, Tufail clarified that a blend of natural gas and RLNG (Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas) would not be feasible due to gas unavailability during this period.
