181 new dengue cases reported

At least 160 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals across Punjab

LAHORE:

Dengue remains rampant in Punjab, with 181 new cases reported on Wednesday. According to the latest Health Department data, a total of 12,045 confirmed dengue cases were reported across 36 districts of the province this year.

During the past 24 hours, 92 cases were reported in Lahore reported, 8 in Rawalpindi, 17 in Multan, 32 in Gujranwala, 9 in Faisalabad, 4 in Narowal, 3 each in Sheikhupura, Attock and Okara and two cases in Dera Ghazi Khan. Meanwhile, Kasur, Sargodha, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Hafizabad, Rajanpur and Jehlum each reported one case of dengue during the 24 hour period.

Currently, 160 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals across Punjab, with 77 of them in Lahore district hospitals.
