Two bodies found in chemical drums
The bodies of a man and a woman were found dumped in two chemical drums along the service road of Ring Road near Kamahan Road in Nishter Colony on Tuesday.
The victims, identified as Farzana Bibi from Hafizabad and an unidentified man, showed signs of severe injuries, indicating they were beaten with clubs.
The grim discovery was made by children who routinely collected scrap from the garbage in the area. Upon opening the drums, they were shocked to find the bodies and quickly alerted nearby residents, leading to a crowd gathering at the scene.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a heavy contingent of police, accompanied by experts from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA), swiftly arrived at the location. SP Model Town Ammara Sherazi, SP Organised Crime Unit (OCU) North Aftab Phularwan, DSP Kahna OCU Qaisar Aziz, and SHO Nishter Colony, among others, were present at the scene.

Police and PFSA experts collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements from eyewitnesses.
The victims, wrapped in bed sheets, were found alongside blood-soaked pillows within the drums.
Farzana Bibi, identified as one of the deceased victims, hailed from Hafizabad. However, the police are working to ascertain the identity of the other victim.
Initial investigations suggest that the victims may have been murdered due to an old enmity. However, the police are exploring various angles to thoroughly investigate the matter.
