Hospital staffer deprived of phone, Rs400,000

Suspected snatcher is said to be a friend of the victim

A case was registered against a man who allegedly snatched cash and a mobile phone from a female employee at Civil Hospital. The police launched raids to arrest the accused.

Aqsa Warraich, a resident of Gulistan Colony who works as a nutritionist at Civil Hospital, told police that on November 6th, her friends Urooj Fatima and Shahzeb Ejaz, came to Civil Hospital and picked her up in their car to go to Koh-e-Noor for shopping. During the drive, her husband called her and Urooj got off near Ashraf Sweets Abdullahpur. Shahzeb turned the car towards Canal Road.

He reportedly started teasing the victim and drew a gun on her, stealing her phone and ATM card and threatening to kill her as he kept driving around D-ground. When the victim trid to draw attention, Shahzeb left her on Canal Road and fled.

The next day, Shahzeb allegedly transferred Rs400,000 from Aqsa’s bank account to his own using the stolen ATM card. He also threatened to kill the victim by demanding money from a private cash account under the name of Nosheen Zahid.

Mansoorabad police registered a case against Shahzeb Ejaz and started conducting raids to arrest him.
