Man allegedly involved in teenage boy's rape, murder arrested

According to Lahore police official, the accused also recorded a video while committing the crime

The Lahore Police claimed to have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting and murdering a 13-year-old boy in the city’s Phool Nagar area, Express News reported on Saturday.

The victim, 13-year-old Ali Hassan, fell prey to this heinous crime in Lahore's Phool Nagar area around 15 days ago.

DSP Irfan Butt shared the details of the case during a press conference held in Punjab's provincial capital today.

During the press briefing, DSP Butt revealed that the accused while committing the crime had also recorded a video of the victim using his mobile phone.

He further disclosed that a forensic examination of the mobile phone, which was recovered from the accused, led to the retrieval of deleted videos and obscene images related to the victim.

The alleged perpetrator has been identified as Abdullah, a resident of the neighbouring Khan village in Mor. Abdullah was employed at a bakery situated in the Dina Nath base area.

According to police officials, the accused, Abdullah, has also confessed to the rape and murder of the 13-year-old child during interrogation.

Gang involved in motorcycle theft nabbed

Meanwhile, the city police have successfully apprehended a gang involved in motorcycle theft, leading to the arrest of three individuals, including the gang's mastermind.

The police managed to recover 12 stolen motorcycles and a sum of Rs350,000 in connection with the case.

The arrested suspects hail from Mohalla Eidgah Road Langde Wali Dhari and Sherpur Road in Phool Nagar. They have been identified as Abu Bakr, Ishtiaq, and Waqas Malik.
