RANIPUR:

Love between a man and a woman from warring tribes ended in tragedy. A couple who contracted a love marriage was shot dead in the Ranipur town of the Khairpur district.

Bilawal Chandio and Latifan Bibi, from the Chandio and Bugti tribes, were to rewrite the tragic tale narrated for centuries. Two clans of the martial tribes were at war in the district over an old feud, however, a man and a woman from the opposite sides fall in love and tie the knot, only to be killed for crossing the ‘limits’.

The Bugti’s were incensed when their girl married a Chandio boy and sought revenge.

Police said that members of the Bugti and Chandio tribes exchanged fire over the issue of love marriage between Bilawal and Latifan a short while before the couple was shot dead.

No arrests have been made so far.
