Accused manages to escape from the scene after shooting his brother-in-law, police source cited

BUREWALA:

Police claimed to have arrested the accused in a murder case from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore while he was attempting to flee abroad on Friday.

Acting on a tip-off, the police team reached the airport and intercepted the accused Irfan as he entered the airport. Irfan allegedly gunned down his brother-in-law, political and social personality Basharat Ali Dogar, over financial matters on Thursday.

Police sources said that the accused managed to escape from the scene after shooting his brother-in-law.

Sardar Dogar, a known political and social figure from 104/E-B was at his house when Irfan and his nephews, Waqas and Fawad, allegedly opened fire and killed him, sources informed.

Police stated the accused Irfan had a dispute with the deceased’s brothers residing in Kuwait over a sum of Rs4 million and the accused frequently asked the deceased to pay this amount.
