Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, has a special birthday present for his fans as he turns 58 on Thursday. The actor's latest offering, Jawan, is now streaming on Netflix - and it's the extended cut!
The announcement came on the streaming platform's social media accounts, led by the world famous star himself. The video begins with Shah Rukh in his Jawan character when he warns Netflix to release the Atlee directorial in two minutes or else “Your ‘Tudum’ will be ‘budum”.
As the OTT platform agrees to his demand, the superstar then says, “A gift for you on my birthday. Watch Jawan streaming on Netflix.” In the caption of the video, Netflix specified that an extended version of Jawan has been released on OTT. “Birthday Jawan ka hai par gift sab ke liye (it's Jawan's birthday, but the gift is for everyone). We’re good to go! Jawan (the extended cut) is now streaming in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, only on Netflix,” the caption read.

Jawan, a captivating tale of a father-son duo determined to combat corruption in Indian society, opened on September 7 with a record-breaking Bollywood opening day. It has since amassed a staggering $130.3 million, surpassing the $126 million earned by Pathaan, which hit theatres in January, Variety reported.
In a thrilling showdown at the Indian box office, the hit Atlee directorial, Jawan, has outperformed Shah Rukh's earlier Yash Raj Films release, Pathaan, securing the top spot among Indian films in 2023. The film, so far, has earned INR10.7 billion at the global box office.
