As authorities turn a blind eye, people in North Karachi try to fix sewerage lines on their own.

KARACHI:

In multiple areas of Korangi, the sewerage system has suffered severe disruptions, leading to sewage overflowing in various locations. This has resulted in a pervasive foul odour, causing significant inconvenience to the residents. Unfortunately, neither the water corporation nor the municipal representatives have taken any action to address the issue.

The details reveal that the sewerage system in several parts of Korangi has been severely affected, causing sewage to accumulate in the streets and giving rise to unpleasant odours. In particular, the streets of Korangi No. 6, A Area UC 26, are witnessing sewage overflow, making it nearly impossible for citizens to navigate these areas. Despite multiple requests from the residents to the water corporation and municipal representatives, their pleas have fallen on deaf ears. This dire situation has persisted for two months in the mentioned area, and it is not limited to just Korangi No. 6, A area.

This sewage-related problem has also led to environmental pollution in several areas, further compounding the issues faced by the residents.
